  First time I called the store - looking for Safety Sand - and called the Gas Bar by mistake. Very rude reception, difficult to hear clerk, who hung up on me. My plan was to buy gas, anti-freeze and road sand. I opted for ESSO where I got all I needed. It was worth additional .6 cents per litre to be treated respectfully.

  Later received an apology from the service staff (after I complained) and a gift card for the trouble. I am told they solved the problem. I was pleased with how they handled it.

  I recently needed to replace a car battery, called the auto service department if they could fit me in any time that day in Hanover. I was pleasantly surprised when the service advisor Mr. Joe Dietrich told me he "would do his best to get me in by 1:00pm". He did better than his word and had the new batt. installed & paper work done all b4 12 noon! Mr. Dietrich's approach to customer service was very evident through out the transaction - in a word "outstanding". The price of the new battery was the only reason I didn't mark this review with a 5th star. I found the pricing on the high side. I feel CTC can & should do better on their price point. But "J.D." gets top marks on the customer side (he even remembered a close family member of mine and commented on that person) nice touch & keep up the great work!

  Absolutely horrible customer service from the manage Jerry. Wanted to buy a bathroom vanity that was on sale but had none in stock. There were two display models on a top shelf at the back of the store not even on display. Asked the manager Jerry if we could buy one he said no and turned to walk away. I asked why when you have two displays he said cause I don't want to have to order and build another one that's why! And walked away. Horrible customer service especially from a manager. Guess he didn't want to make a $500 sale. Will never be returning here!

  Waited for 2.5 hours to get tires on after being assured it would take an hour. The vehicle sat on the hoist for 45 minutes without any activity. Staff was kind and courteous but I felt this was unreasonable.

  Bought my winter tires online because I work unusual hours and don't have time to make it into the physical store very often. Checked the option for 'service call back' online (all auto parts sales have an option for you to book in for installation appointments). Never received a call back. Got an e-mail saying my tires were ready for pickup from the automated system and to call my store asap to book my service appointment. Called in, was answered by somebody who was 'busy with a customer' and asked if they could call me back. Very rude and grumpy. Left my number and never received a call back. I'll be picking up my tires and installing them myself- luckily I have that capability, however, Canadian Tire will be losing my additional business that I was going to give them of having them check out a few other problems on my car.
